Dear Parents & Teachers: Welcome to Super Sprowtz!
As you know, childhood is an exciting time when children begin to learn about themselves and develop their eating habits. These habits can last throughout their lifetime and as a teacher, parent or caretaker, you have the wonderful opportunity to help lay a healthy foundation. At Super Sprowtz, we get kids excited about eating more vegetables and making healthier choices through our fun, loveable vegetable characters who have super powers that are directly related to the health benefit of the vegetables they embody (e.g., Colby Carrot has super sight because carrots are great for your eyes!).
We have a number of great resources for you to use in the home and/or the classroom, online or offline. In the home, play videos and games on our website, check out our recipes and our books, puppets and DVDs. For the classroom, we now have a 20-lesson curriculum (soon to be modified for a home program), which is fun and very active, perfect for children ages 3-6. Our Nutrition Education Kit is a wonderful resource to get your class, day care center or camp students excited about nutrition!
It contains a 20-lesson curriculum that is fun and very active, and is perfect for children ages 4-6 (and can be modified easily for ages 3-8, depending on the activities).
